Top 10 Jackie Chan Stunts and Fights

I love watching Jackie Chan, especially when he seems to lose his mind and do some crazy stunt that you just can’t believe a person could survive, like falling over 50 feet from a clock tower. You also have to love watching his drunken boxing style in Drunken Master and Legend of Drunken Master.

Thanks to Best of YouTube (subscribe here), here’s 10 really amazing examples of why Jackie Chan is completely insane.

Enjoy

P.S. As an added bonus, I’ve also included 10 amazing Jackie Chan Fight Scenes:

George Carlin Tribute

After George Carlin died, you realize just what a loss it is to the comedy world, especially with all the work he did behind the scenes with young up-and-coming comedians. Jerry Seinfeld wrote an op-ed about his friend in the New York Times and I wanted to share it here, which I found out about on a recent Larry King Live (subscribe here) interview with Seinfeld.

Thanks to Chemistryland for the above pic.

Take the Stephen Colbert Puppet Challenge!

If you’ve ever watched dotBoom (subscribe here), you know Brian Hogg. Otherwise, dotboom started out as an online puppet show showing the foul-mouthed trials and comical tribulations of a website development firm in Toronto. He’s already made an Emperor Palpatine, Leo Laporte and Amber Macarthur puppets for previous shows.

In his latest endeavor, the Stephen Colbert Puppet Challenge, he has created a Stephen Colbert puppet, in the hopes that Stephen Colbert himself will voice this puppet. If Colbert agrees, he can keep the puppet on The Report’s set for free and the whole thing is totally awesome!

Oh, by the way, as of this week, full episodes of both The Colbert Report and The Daily Show are now available at hulu.com for free! Check it out and spread the word!

Wine Library TV Conan O’Brien

Most mainstream podcasts seem to come out of the west coast, but Wine Library TV is made daily out of NYC and tonight, the host of Gary Vaynerchuk held a viewing party tonight for his Late Night with Conan O’Brien viewing party for his second appearance on Conan’s show.

It was a blast watching Conan with Gary (who hosted the event) and a few dozen of his NYC upper east side fans at Bounce. I even got two free glasses of wine out of the whole affair (one red, one white) and I don’t normally even like the vino, I’m more of a beer guy myself.

It was a total blast at the Gary Vaynerchuk viewing party, I HIGHLY recommend subscribing to the high energy daily Wine Library TV (subscribe here). Oh, buy his book 101 Wines here.

Thanks to NY Magazine for the above pic and thanks to Gary for the AWESOME night!

Barely Political - Senator Mike Gravel Lobbies for the Obama Girl Vote

This has been a whirlwind presidential campaign and one man that has seemed to have been left behind is Mike Gravel. He is technically still in the race… he is just going nowhere, FAST.

Gravel decided to do something different and court the sexy Obama Girl in this comical video on Barely Political (subscribe here) even though she herself didn’t vote for Obama… or anyone else either in the primary election.

Thanks to Tech Daily Dose for the above pic.

I’m Gonna Git You Spamma! Mahalo Will Miss Veronica Belmont on Mahalo Daily

This is a GREAT video (probably my favorite from Mahalo Daily [subscribe here]) called I’m Gonna Git You Spamma! starring Veronica Belmont, which may have been inspired by 1970’s style Sexploitation, Blaxploitation or maybe just Quentin Tarantino.

Regardless of the inspiration though, Jason Calacanis and Mahalo are very smart, they use Youtube (the most famous video sharing site) to distribute their videos because they understand that youtube (and sites like it) can be use be a great free distribution method for their videos, which serves as amazing FREE advertising. If Mahalo had stuck to a proprietary video distribution method, like many sites have tried, it would make it that much harder for people to get to see their vidos and also to get people to try searching with Mahalo’s human powered search.

Sadly (for Mahalo), Veronica Belmont is leaving Mahalo Daily now for Revision3, where she has started co-hosting their show Tekzilla. I don’t mind this though, since I love watching Tekzilla and the addition of Ms. Belmont, just makes the show that much better.

Revision3 Crew Lip Syncs INXS

During some free time over at the Internet TV Revision3 studios, a wide array of nutty Rev3 employees teamed up to group lip dub/sync the INXS song Need You Tonight.

Check the video out here from Vimeo, hopefully soon WordPress.com will allow sites to embed more sources (like Vimeo, which supports HD video), if not all sources of flash video onto their hosted pages.

Thanks to Diggnation (subscribe here) for bringing this video to light and to the cute as a button Sara Lane, the above pic cam from her own site.

Women Are DAMN Funny!

Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, and Tina Fey photographed by Annie Leibovitz from Vanity Fair

I don’t normally read Vanity Fair, but my grandmother does and she knows that I LOVE comedians, so she saved this article about a dozen of the craziest and most gut bustingly funny female comedians in the entertainment industry today for me.

Any article that covers Sarah Silverman, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph at the same time is DEFINITELY worth your time!

Check it out here. Also, it helps that the photography for this article was done by Annie Leibovitz, she’s a wonderful photographer.

Around the Net Olivia Munn Plays MushMouth!

Olivia Munn playboy photo taken by Brie Childers

I know it may be hard to tell from the above pic, but Olivia Munn is kind of a geek. She co-hosts Attack of the Show and their Friday (3/2 8) Around the Net segment was HILARIOUS! Get to the funny directly by clicking here and watch the video, especially if you start from the 2:36 mark. The game is called MushMouth and watching Olivia and Kevin Pereira play had me cracking up.

Thanks to The Bastardly for the above pic, if you want more pics of Olivia, get the rest from this great Brie Childers photo shoot, which are about as safe for work as this one is, from Playboy After Hours and subscribe to Around the Net here.

Michael Bay’s Awesome Verizon FiOS Ad

This is the extended cut of director Michael Bay’s AWESOME Verizon FiOS ad. It’s great when a director is able to make fun of himself.

This is just another example of making good commercials so we WANT to watch them.

Street Fighter: The Later Years

Ever since the end of 2006, College Humor has been releasing a series of videos that is a combination video game homage and spoof called Street Fighter: The Later Years. This series far exceeds Street Fighter: The Movie, which starred Jean-Claude Van Damme, Raul Julia and Ming-Na.

For anyone who grew up during the 1980’s, the Street Fighter video game series, especially Street Fighter II, was THE epic game while growing up, bringing nonsense phrases like “root-raww, root-raww, root-raww” into our consciousnesses.

The original versions of Episodes one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight and nine are all available here. Thanks CHTV for bringing these videos to my lazy self via free iTunes podcast.

Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel Fight - TMI

This first clip is from when Sarah Silverman came on the Jimmy Kimmel Live and wanted to antagonize him a bit, since Kimmel is Silverman’s longtime boyfriend, so she announced that Sarah Silverman is Fucking Matt Damon. There is a bit of a back story here, Jimmy Kimmel has had a longrunning gag on his show that at the end of his show he’ll announce that he ran out of time in the show and has to bump Matt Damon from appearing. I would set up a link to the official music video of all this on ABC.com, but in their infinite wisdom, they don’t allow you to link directly to their content, maybe they’d rather have people watch the whole thing on youtube, so go to their music video section and you can find it, but that’s why I provided all the youtube links here anyway.

This second clip (below) is Kimmel’s video response to the first clip from Sarah Silverman, Jimmy Kimmel is Fucking Ben Affleck and he co-opts Ben Affleck, Brad Pitt, Robin Williams, Don Cheadle, Harrison Ford, Cameron Diaz, among many many others We Are the World style for it.

This whole fake feud is hilarious! Thanks to Net@Nite for the heads up about these videos.

Conan vs Stewart and Colbert - The Biggest Late Night Fight!

After watching tonights extremely long Academy Awards, hosted by Jon Stewart, it reminded me of the very long and hilarious feud and ensuing brawl that involved Conan O’Brien, Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart. The whole thing is documented in this 8 plus minute clip from Late Night with Conan O’Brien, which all started over Mike Huckabee.

Blast From the Past Snickers Gheorghe Muresan Commercial

Tiki Bar TV Brings in a Battlestar Galactica Mainstay

These clips may not be new, but they are still worth seeing for any Battlestar Galactica fan. The people at Tiki Bar TV were able to bring on Cally (Nicki Clyne) acting all crazy and pixie-like and shot a two part episode. Episode 2 is at the bottom of this post.

Bill Gate’s Last Day at Microsoft Video

It’s Britney… Bitch TMI

After a long night of billiards and ping pong, one needs to make fun of something or someone… who better than Britney Spears, right?

Enjoy the remix of the first few seconds of Gimme More… an amazing example of something both stupid and insulting to her fans, how many artists insult their fans withing the first 5 seconds of a song?

Thanks Seán for giving me the idea to do this.

A Month of Engadget News Just Before CES

I just got done going through the humongous backlog of unread Engadget stories I hadn’t had time to read over the past month (995 to be exact) and I wanted to highlight a few of the more interesting ones that caught my eye just before the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) kicks off.

First there’s the potentially fetishistic and definitely creepy/weird vibrating bluetooth bracelet.

Then President Clinton, while speaking in Iowa was heckled by a robot protester! Don’t worry though, he can handle himself.

How about a 10+ inch, 10mm thick, color plastic LCD display?

Lonely? Ever thought about building a creepy $30 android for that needed companionship?

Hey, wow look at that, Former President Clinton is BACK and this time reveals he uses an iPhone… the man even signs it too!

You know, there are some days when I’m so lazy I wont walk across a room to charge my cell phone… look at what some people in India go through for their cell phones. It makes me exhausted just thinking about it.

My handwriting is already illegible as it is, I can’t imagine writing any smaller than I already do, so seeing the whole Bible written on something smaller than a grain of rice is pretty daunting.

Now, for the winner in vaporware keyboard technology, Art Lebedev and his LCD touchpad keyboard.

I also want to try the pillow that relaxes you, using light and sound, but yet manages to look like a whoopee cushion.

I am very excited that you can now order a mac tablet computer here through pretty much the only official 3rd party Apple builder. It’s called the Modbook and it uses Wacom tablet technology.

Are you tired of those prankster scientist friends of yours, always putting ink on your microscope viewfinder, giving you raccoon eyes? Well, no more, enjoy the newest LCD view microscope.

Get the Pinnacle Video Transfer if you want to bring ANY analog video onto your portable usb video player (that means you iPod and PSP).

Now, saving the BEST for last, learn how to REALLY play the guitar using a REAL guitar with Guitar Wizard! Stop wasting your time with Guitar Hero! At least with Rock Band, you can learn to play drums.

Thanks Swiftpage for the picture.
