I love watching Jackie Chan, especially when he seems to lose his mind and do some crazy stunt that you just can’t believe a person could survive, like falling over 50 feet from a clock tower. You also have to love watching his drunken boxing style in Drunken Master and Legend of Drunken Master.
After George Carlin died, you realize just what a loss it is to the comedy world, especially with all the work he did behind the scenes with young up-and-coming comedians. Jerry Seinfeld wrote an op-ed about his friend in the New York Times and I wanted to share it here, which I found out about on a recent Larry King Live (subscribe here) interview with Seinfeld.
Oh, by the way, as of this week, full episodes of both The Colbert Report and The Daily Show are now available at hulu.com for free! Check it out and spread the word!
Most mainstream podcasts seem to come out of the west coast, but Wine Library TV is made daily out of NYC and tonight, the host of Gary Vaynerchuk held a viewing party tonight for his Late Night with Conan O’Brien viewing party for his second appearance on Conan’s show.
It was a blast watching Conan with Gary (who hosted the event) and a few dozen of his NYC upper east side fans at Bounce. I even got two free glasses of wine out of the whole affair (one red, one white) and I don’t normally even like the vino, I’m more of a beer guy myself.
This has been a whirlwind presidential campaign and one man that has seemed to have been left behind is Mike Gravel. He is technically still in the race… he is just going nowhere, FAST.
Regardless of the inspiration though, Jason Calacanis and Mahalo are very smart, they use Youtube (the most famous video sharing site) to distribute their videos because they understand that youtube (and sites like it) can be use be a great free distribution method for their videos, which serves as amazing FREE advertising. If Mahalo had stuck to a proprietary video distribution method, like many sites have tried, it would make it that much harder for people to get to see their vidos and also to get people to try searching with Mahalo’s human powered search.
During some free time over at the Internet TV Revision3 studios, a wide array of nutty Rev3 employees teamed up to group lip dub/sync the INXS song Need You Tonight.
I don’t normally read Vanity Fair, but my grandmother does and she knows that I LOVE comedians, so she saved this article about a dozen of the craziest and most gut bustingly funny female comedians in the entertainment industry today for me.
For anyone who grew up during the 1980’s, the Street Fighter video game series, especially Street Fighter II, was THE epic game while growing up, bringing nonsense phrases like “root-raww, root-raww, root-raww” into our consciousnesses.
I promised a friend that I would find this clip for her. It has been over 10 years since this ad first aired, but this Snickers ad with Gheorghe Muresan is still hilarious! I wish their current ads were as funny as this one.
If you watched this video from Tom Cruise and didn’t understand some of the slang, check out the companion video I’m posting below, which is cut down a bit, but also fills in some of the missing slang and also adds some editorial commentary about Cruise and Scientology.
After a long night of billiards and ping pong, one needs to make fun of something or someone… who better than Britney Spears, right?
Enjoy the remix of the first few seconds of Gimme More… an amazing example of something both stupid and insulting to her fans, how many artists insult their fans withing the first 5 seconds of a song?
I just got done going through the humongous backlog of unread Engadget stories I hadn’t had time to read over the past month (995 to be exact) and I wanted to highlight a few of the more interesting ones that caught my eye just before the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) kicks off.
Are you tired of those prankster scientist friends of yours, always putting ink on your microscope viewfinder, giving you raccoon eyes? Well, no more, enjoy the newest LCD view microscope.
